Coaches Run Chicago!
Our
fabulous CCC coaches journeyed to Chicago this past weekend for the BIG
marathon - over 45,000 runners!!!
Leading the
pack at an IMPRESSIVE 2:48:46 and 8th - yes 8th!!! - in his division is
Coach Agnew! Wow, he's still got it after not running marathons for
awhile!
Coach
Triola finished 157 in his division at 3:00:53.
Coach
Davies finished 1139 in his division at 3:59:05.
And
Christine Agnew (our biggest fan) finished 222 in her division at
3:52:44.
What great
results! A tremendous showing no matter what, but even more impressive
when you realize the size of the field.
CONGRATULATIONS
CCC Coaches!!! Thanks for setting the example of what you can achieve
when you set your goal as a life-long dedication to running!

Senior
Katie Ollier signed a National Letter of Intent on Tuesday, Feb. 15 to run
cross country and track at the University of Dayton. "We are so thrilled
with Katie's decision to join the Flyers," said UD coach Sarah Hinkley. "She's a wonderful girl with an extreme
amount of potential, class, drive and will. She's one of those student athletes
who come along and you just know she's going to continue to have success
because she wants it and will work for it, in whatever arena she's in."
Katie
has had great success as a Patriot both in the classroom and as a runner.
Katie's cumulative GPA is a 4.40. Last year Katie received Academic All-Ohio
honors as well as GGCL North Athlete of the Year. As a senior Katie was a cross
country district champion and a state individual qualifier. She also holds many
school records.
Christin LaCroix (Class of 1994) to be Inducted into
Carroll Hall of Fame!
Christin
is one of the best distance runners in Carroll history. She became an
immediate track star as a freshman when she qualified for the State
Championships in three events: 800 meter run, 4 X 400 and 4 X 800 relays,
setting school records in the 800 and 4 X 800 relay. For the next three
years Christin continued winning races and lowering school records. As a
senior, she dominated the Mid Miami League by winning an incredible 4 events
and leading her team to their 4th consecutive Team Championship. She
qualified for the Div I State Championships in the 1600 and 4 X 800, where she
anchored the relay team to 5th place, earning All State honors and setting a
school record that still stands today. Chrisitin was also a dominate
force in cross country, which she joined as a sophomore. She led her team
to three consecutive MML Team Championships, while claiming an individual title
and two runner-ups. In her senior season she qualified for the Div I
State Championships as an individual and led her team to a Regional Title and
10th place State finish. Christin received Carroll's Most Valuable
Athlete Award in 1994. Christin earned an athletic scholarship to Bowling
Green State University where competed in track and XC.
